Meet the Team!


Joy McDowell brings her background in social justice advocacy and fundraising to provide logistic support for Community Call. She is currently receiving her Masters in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Education Policy and Management. Joy is also a spoken word poet and loves working with youth in a mentorship role. Joy is working on administrative projects for Community Call

Harmonie Coleman is a Master’s student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. A 2018 graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia…she now student teaches 7th grade English Language Arts (ELA) at Boston Latin Academy. Harmonie’s academic interests include inclusive education, anti-racist pedagogy, and mental health awareness. Harmonie is the 2018-2019 adviser for the YouthWOKE program at the Boston Public School Headquarters.

Damon Hall was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He has spent his adult life in education, teaching middle school history and English for seven years, and coaching collegiate track and field. He is studying educational leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education with an interest in creating equity in schools. Damon runs the “Building Bridges” program for young men of color at Freedom House in Dorchester.
