Let’s Talk About Bullying

Students at the Mary Lyon Pilot High School decided to tackle the issue of bullying on multiple levels: verbal, physical, emotional, and cyber-bullying. The students produced a school wide assembly that incorporated all of these issues including:

• Student testimonies
• Student produced video on bullying in school
• Illustrative exercises of the effects of bullying
• Mean tweets to kids video
• Teacher testimonies
• Effects, prevention, and legalities of bullying presented by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department
• Anti-bullying poster project
